The textile industry's social and environmental risks are often hidden deep in supply chains. This research mapped both dimensions across a range of fiber types, from conventional cotton to emerging Next Gen alternatives.

This programme tackled a set of overlapping questions, about materials, end-of-life behaviour, coloration and finishing, and the business models needed to make new approaches viable at scale.

Circular Fiber Systems - Cotton & Wool

Waste equals food. This project set out to enable that researching, testing, and establishing circular systems for cotton and wool across both woven and non-woven applications, and bringing those systems to market for the commissioning company.

Regenerative Wool

This multi-year project rebuilt a wool supply chain from farm level , working directly with a regenerative merino farmer group from land and animal through processing into finished garments and interior products.

Working with Bunn Studios, a design bureau known for its creative and rigorous approach to craft and materiality, this project brought an innovative hemp textile material developed together with Kvadrat Textiles into a furniture context, applied to a one-off collection for a confidential brand client.

This multi-year project rebuilt a leather supply chain from farm level - tracing hides from Nordic farms through processing into finished accessories products.
